Projects

The OLCA has many projects going on to enhance the way we play.  From custom paint jobs to new equipment designs, theres always something being modified with our gear.  A majority of our custom weaponry is designed and built by Bazookafied.  Here you can follow all of the updates to our weaponry by any of our members!

NPC-103 Projects
A series of weaponry being built based off of Namco Guncon NPC-103's have been modified for Laser Challenge use.  Built by Bazookafied, these weapons are experimental testbeds for future projects but are also formidable weapons in themselves.  Though they are testbeds, Bazookafied normally uses them in combat to fully test the work that he has completed.  These weapons features can change from week to week.  Currently there are two NPC-103 units.  The 103A, which is based on a LC Team Force 2000 pistol's internals, and the 103B, which is based on a Laser Command rifle's internals.

NPC-103A Status

Testing has finally been completed for the 103A.  After extensive changes to the weapon's lens arrangement to optimize its V1 internals, the NPC-103A was range tested and deemed complete.  It is no longer an experimental weapon and it's internals will no longer be modified.  The final statistics of the NPC-103A are listed below:

Features: Toggle for lights, Toggle for sound, concealed on-off switch, mount rail for equipment, flashlight mount option, 2 AA installed inside weapon

Statistics:  6 round reloadable mag with an effective range of 150ft and a maximum range of 175ft

Super Cobra Project

The newest project Bazookafied has been working on.  This weapon is based on V2 internals and utilizes a Nyko Cobra shell.  The Super Cobra's construction began in late September of 2007 (end of Season 2) and was first tested on September 30th, 2007.  It was later used in a Mock Battle that took place on October 2nd, 2007 to check the effectiveness of the weapon.  The Cobra's iron sight proved to be accurate and helped give this weapon some added accuracy. 

Currently, the Super Cobra is Bazookafied's weapon of choice and has replaced the NPC-103A.  The weapon has a mount point on top of the gun for a possible scope addition.  Underneath the weapon, Bazookafied has planned to add another scope rail to mount a flashlight.  However, future plans may end up embedding a flashlight inside the weapon. 

Recent Range Testing completed by the OLCA revealed the Super Cobra to achieve an effective range of 415ft with a maximum range of 427ft.  This places the Super Cobra's range far above the predicted 350ft range and outclasses all V1 and V2 weaponry (excluding the Firestorm).
